About.

French soprano Delphine Mégret has established herself on the international operatic scene through her bold artistic commitment and the originality of her repertoire choices.

She is regularly invited to perform at La Maestranza Opera House in Seville, where she curates recital programmes in close collaboration with Spanish pianist Carmen Martinez-Pierret. Following L’Heure Rose in 2023 — a programme devoted to forgotten female composers and described by the Spanish press as “exquisite, full of beauty and elegance” — she continued this artistic journey with Nothin’ but Love in 2024 and Rendez-vous in 2025.

On stage, Delphine Mégret explores roles from both the traditional operatic repertoire and contemporary creation. In 2023, she appeared as the Young Girl with the Donkey in Ressusciter la Rose, composed by Raphaël Lucas, with a libretto by Simon Johannin, directed by Vincent Huguet as part of the centenary celebrations of the Villa Noailles, in a production by the Opéra de Toulon. She sings Blanche in Dialogues des Carmélites (2025), Zerlina in Don Giovanni(2022), and Pamina in Die Zauberflöte (2021), in a French adaptation by Michel Wolkowitsky. She also created the leading role of Katie in Years ago I die, a contemporary opera by Clare Elton, premiered in 2018.

Alongside her operatic career, Delphine Mégret maintains a distinguished presence as a concert soloist. She recently performed Mozart’s Exsultate, jubilate with the Orchestre de Chambre de Toulouse at the International Festival of the Abbey of Sylvanès, and is set to reprise the work at the Saint-Guilhem-le-Désert Festival in September 2025. Since 2020, she has been a regular soloist at major concerts in Sylvanès Abbey and Le Vigan, under the direction of Michel Piquemal, performing a wide-ranging repertoire including Fauré’s Requiem, Haydn’s Creation, Schubert’s Mass in G, Hoffmann’s Miserere, and Mozart’s Requiem.

She also performs with numerous ensembles and orchestras, including the Venice Baroque Orchestra (cond. Andrea Marcon), the Orchestre de Chambre de Toulouse (cond. Gilles Colliard), the Académie des Musiques Anciennes(cond. Pablo Beznosiuk), the Toulon Opera Orchestra, the Orchestre Contrepoint de Montpellier (cond. Michel Piquemal), the Toulouse Baroque Orchestra (cond. Michel Brun), Dulci Jubilo (cond. Christophe Gibert), La Fenice (cond. Jean Tubéry), and the Ubu Ensemble.

Deeply committed to contemporary music, Delphine Mégret collaborates regularly with living composers. She works closely with Raphaël Lucas, having premiered several of his works including Ressusciter la Rose, Hymn, Latence des fleurs, Barrì Gotic, and Nativity. She also works with pianist, composer and conductor Thierry Huillet (Poèmes Mystiques), Christopher Gibert (L’Ode à l’Enfant Lumière), and Cécile Veyrat (La Belle et le Loup). At Wigmore Hallin London, she premiered two song cycles: fly little birdy by Rasmus Zwicki (2017), and Involuta Septempunctata by Dimitrios Rontsis (2018), for which she was awarded the Tracey Chadwell Memorial Prize.

She graduated from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London, where she earned a Master’s degree in Vocal Performance with highest honours, as well as a Concert Recital Diploma for her final recital in 2018. Her training has included work with Emma Kirkby, Sarah Walker, Jennifer Smith, David Gowland, Gary Coward, Pierre Vallet, and Sophie Raynaud. She continues to benefit from the guidance of Michel Wolkowitsky.

Delphine Mégret is the co-founder of the Trio Desmée, alongside cellist Shani Mégret and pianist Stéphanie Fontanarosa, and of the Duo DYANE, formed in 2024 with pianist-composer Yannaël Quenel. Together, they tour the recital programme “Ciel étoilé”, a musical journey through nocturnal light and shadow.
